My Jewelry/Shiny Thing Addiction at Christmas

Here is one of my prized possessions. I made this tree over ten years ago after seeing something at an antique store made of jewelry. Mine has about ten times much jewelry on it as the one I saw, and I love it!!

Tree Topper

This is one of the favorite things I have made of jewelry. It is my tree topper. I covered plywood with batting and red velvet. Then I pinned most of the pins on, so as to not ruin them. A few of the

Tree Pin Collection

These are my beautiful Christmas tree pins. I have collected them for years. Behind them are some of my pearl covered trees I made years ago.

Jewelry Addiction

Here is my tree with my collection of beautiful Swarovski snowflakes. My husband gets me one for each anniversary.

Father-in-law

My wonderful father in law, Darelle, passed away yesterday at 11:15 in the morning.

I am glad his suffering is over, but I will miss him dearly.

Sad Day

Darren's dad is worse. They just had to discuss the DNR order and readmitted him to hospital. I am headed there soon. Any good thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Jewelry Pumkin

This is the "jewelry Pumpkin" I made a few years ago. I just hung it on my kitchen wall for the fall season. I guess until I get something new made, I will just post my old stuff.

New Venture in Felting

I have been so very busy with my sick father-in-law. But I feel the need to create! So, I gathered some old wool sweaters and scarves. I am going to try my hand at felting. I figured it would be hard to mess this up. My hope is to throw them in the washer and end up with some great felted fabric to work with at some point.

Wish me luck! Since I am "trying" to ruin sweaters, it probably won't work.
