Father-in-law

My wonderful father in law, Darelle, passed away yesterday at 11:15 in the morning.

I am glad his suffering is over, but I will miss him dearly.

Sad Day

Darren's dad is worse. They just had to discuss the DNR order and readmitted him to hospital. I am headed there soon. Any good thoughts would be appreciated.

Jewelry Pumkin

This is the "jewelry Pumpkin" I made a few years ago. I just hung it on my kitchen wall for the fall season. I guess until I get something new made, I will just post my old stuff.

New Venture in Felting

I have been so very busy with my sick father-in-law. But I feel the need to create! So, I gathered some old wool sweaters and scarves. I am going to try my hand at felting. I figured it would be hard to mess this up. My hope is to throw them in the washer and end up with some great felted fabric to work with at some point.

Wish me luck! Since I am "trying" to ruin sweaters, it probably won't work.

Finally! Got a new necklace in my shop.

Wow.......I finally got a few new pieces in my Etsy shop.

It has been a struggle to get anything done this summer. Took three weeks to get new furnace and A/C installed. Vacation.......got sick awhile. Just glad to get a few pieces in there.

I am working on neck warmers now. In August......great, huh? Got that new air conditioning...guess I figured I could crochet!

Creating by Brewing Beer!

Just wanted to share some good news. My husband and I entered our Milk Stout Beer in the Ohio State Fair Home Brew competition. We got the results Friday. We got a silver medal in the stout category. There were 26 entries in that category. There were 335 entries in all. That is an all time high for entries.

Not big on tooting my own horn, but we are pretty proud!

I Made This

I decided to show a couple of neck scarves I made last year for two reasons. I needed something to post, because I am not finished with the jewelry I am working on at the moment.

I am going to be back in the swing of things soon on here, hopefully. My new furnace and a/c are almost done. That has been a slow process....ick.

I have almost all my rearranging of work spaces done. I am ready to create my butt off!

Independence Day

Happy 4th of July everyone! It is great weather here. We are having a small cookout this evening. I hope everyone has a great day with loved ones!

Been SO Busy!

I have been on two short vacations in May. One was to New York Institute of Technology for my daughter's graduation. She got her masters degree, after all these years. I am so proud of her! Got to see New York City for the first time! How exciting that was.

Then my husband and I went on a short three day trip last week. I am tired of vacation! How dumb is that?

I have been working on my work spaces for weeks. Reorganizing EVERYTHING I own. What a monumental task! I have three rooms I use, and more stuff than you can imagine. As soon as I get my camera back from my brother, I will put up some pictures. I can't wait to get it all done. Now that I am home, I might get it finished!

Painted Some Jewelry

I finally dug out some old wooden jewelry to paint. I separated the big hoops and made two different pairs of earrings from them.

The paper clay pieces, I am still working on. I haven't done anything but prime the wooden bangle. I will work on those this weekend, hopefully.
